Resolution Medical is part of Resonetics, a global engineering and advanced micro-manufacturing organization serving the medical device sector. The business is growing quickly and emphasizes innovation, continuous improvement, and an employee-focused culture. This position supports the Resolution Medical team in Fridley, Minnesota, which is described as the country’s largest full medical device development company offering complete manufacturing services.

Role Overview

The Director of Operations is accountable for the full operational scope, including Quality and Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Materials Management. This leader is expected to define and execute organizational standards and strategies that raise performance to best-in-class levels while partnering with other leaders to make sure products consistently satisfy customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set a clear multi-year direction for the organization and translate that strategy into everyday actions and measurable results.
  • Lead structured continuous improvement programs that lower cost while improving productivity and quality.
  • Define performance targets that align with company objectives and actively track operational metrics.
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and complete updates on the company’s operating status.
  • Develop and oversee quality goals and objectives.
  • Work in sync with finance, safety, and human resources leadership on performance management and talent development.
  • Ensure the site operates in compliance with the company’s ISO and FDA quality management system requirements.
  • Contribute to monthly revenue forecasting for the location.
  • Adjust production output and staffing levels to support revenue and cost objectives.
  • Help build and manage site budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Partner with senior leadership to create and execute strategies that improve revenue growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or another relevant technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a manufacturing department or business within a technical manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Direct experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods, along with continuous improvement practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background leading an independent manufacturing operation.
  • Exposure to contract manufacturing and to ISO/FDA quality system expectations in medical device or diagnostics manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with packaging and distribution of finished medical devices.
  • MBA or comparable business management experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work extended hours when needed and maintain a visible presence in a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% based on business requirements.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $144,000 to $200,000 per year. Actual pay will depend on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, expertise, skills, and experience. The position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program tied to both company and individual performance. A 401(k) plan is offered with a company Safe Harbor contribution of 3% of eligible earnings.
