Role summary
This senior leadership position is responsible for steering end-to-end operations, improving business processes, and strengthening coordination across departments. The organization serves global clients with advanced quantitative trading strategies, risk management systems, and digital asset offerings. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and department heads to improve operating performance, support strategic growth, and raise overall efficiency.
Reporting line: CEO / COO. Seniority: Director level.
Work location: New York, NY; the role may be based flexibly depending on business requirements within an international office setting.
Operational strategy and execution
- Build and roll out operating plans that align with the company’s growth direction.
- Create standardized management systems, operating procedures, and governance policies.
- Turn strategic objectives into measurable operating targets and practical implementation plans.
- Continuously improve organizational efficiency and how resources are allocated.
Business operations management
- Lead trading operations, customer service operations, product operations, and back-office support functions.
- Track KPIs and service quality closely, and act on areas needing improvement.
- Refine customer lifecycle processes to improve satisfaction and retention.
- Advance digital operations and automate workflows wherever possible.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Coordinate work across product, technology, marketing, risk, compliance, and finance teams.
- Set up clear communication channels and efficient project collaboration processes.
- Ensure major projects and strategic initiatives are delivered on schedule.
Process improvement and risk control
- Continuously refine business workflows and internal control mechanisms.
- Develop an operational risk management structure.
- Work with compliance and risk teams to keep operations aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Spot operational risks early and design mitigation actions.
Data analysis and management reporting
- Set up a framework for operational data analysis.
- Prepare regular business analysis reports for senior management.
- Use insights from data to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Support ongoing improvements in core business metrics.
Team leadership and talent development
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Create growth plans and talent development pathways for the team.
- Implement performance review and incentive systems.
- Build a culture that is positive, efficient, and results-driven.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Preferred academic backgrounds include Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Management, or similar disciplines. An MBA or EMBA is preferred.
Applicants should have at least 15 years of corporate operations management experience, including 5 or more years leading teams. Prior experience in a leadership role such as Operations Director, Senior Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Business Operations Director, COO, or Regional Operations Director is expected.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in financial services, digital assets, FinTech, internet platforms, or exchange businesses, as well as those who have worked in fast-growing or international organizations. Exposure to multi-region, multi-team operations and corporate digital transformation projects is also valued.

Language requirements

Compensation and benefits
Indicative base salary: USD 250,000 to 350,000+ per year. Additional rewards include an annual performance bonus, long-term incentive plan such as equity or RSUs, commercial medical insurance, international travel allowance, and professional training plus career development opportunities.
