Position Overview

Cascade MedTech is focused on serving global clients with professional financial services built around quantitative trading approaches, risk management frameworks, and digital asset offerings. The organization is looking for a seasoned Operations Director who can take ownership of end-to-end operations, improve business processes, strengthen cross-functional execution, and help the company operate more effectively at scale.

Reporting to the CEO and COO, this senior leadership position works closely with top management and department heads to convert strategy into execution, improve operational performance, and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

The role covers operational leadership across strategy, execution, process improvement, risk control, analytics, and team development.

  • Build and roll out operational plans that support the company’s broader growth strategy.
  • Create structured management systems, standardized workflows, and operating policies.
  • Turn strategic goals into measurable operational targets and action plans.
  • Improve organizational efficiency and strengthen resource allocation.
  • Lead trading operations, customer service operations, product operations, and back-office support.
  • Track KPIs, service quality, customer journey performance, and retention outcomes.
  • Advance automation and digital transformation across operational workflows.
  • Work closely with product, technology, marketing, risk, compliance, and finance teams.
  • Set up effective coordination and communication practices across departments.
  • Ensure key projects and strategic programs are delivered on schedule.
  • Refine internal processes and strengthen control mechanisms.
  • Develop an operational risk management framework and mitigation approach.
  • Partner with compliance and risk teams to maintain regulatory alignment.
  • Identify operational risks early and implement corrective actions.
  • Build an operational data framework and provide regular business analysis to leadership.
  • Use data insights to improve efficiency, performance, and profitability.
  • Lead a strong operations organization and support team growth.
  • Design development plans, performance reviews, and incentive systems.
  • Promote a productive, accountable, and high-performance culture.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should bring deep operations leadership experience, strong strategic capability, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required; backgrounds in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Management, or similar fields are preferred.
  • MBA or EMBA is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in corporate operations management.
  • At least 5 years of team management experience.
  • Prior experience in a senior operations leadership role such as Operations Director, Senior Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Business Operations Director, COO, or Regional Operations Director.
  • Experience in financial services, digital assets, FinTech, internet platforms, or exchange-related businesses is preferred.
  • Background in high-growth or international organizations is preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-regional, multi-team operations is preferred.
  • Exposure to corporate digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong ability to design and improve operating systems, business processes, and management frameworks.
  • Excellent project management and execution skills.
  • Solid understanding of KPI, OKR, and performance management methods.
  • Strong analytical ability and familiarity with ERP, CRM, and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of risk management and internal control practices.
  • Fluent business-level English is required.
  • Spanish, Chinese, or another international language is an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role suits a senior operator who can lead large teams, navigate change confidently, and drive growth in a fast-moving business environment. Experience with teams of 50 or more and a global, cross-cultural mindset will be especially valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

The indicative annual base salary is USD 120,000 to USD 220,000+.

Additional Information

Location is flexible depending on business requirements within an international office environment. This senior management role is based in the Greater Munich Metropolitan Area and reports to the CEO / COO.
