Role Overview
The Director of Operational Excellence is a full-time remote position responsible for spearheading company-wide efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This leadership role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing programs designed to improve business processes, ensuring these initiatives align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data to detect performance gaps and create detailed improvement strategies in partnership with leaders across departments.
- Design and enforce best practices, standardize processes, and establish operational excellence frameworks and metrics throughout the organization.
- Coach and mentor teams on continuous improvement techniques and methodologies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Support change management initiatives and contribute to long-term strategic planning efforts.
Qualifications
- Expertise in business process improvement with hands-on experience leading end-to-end optimization projects.
- Strong background in operational excellence, including frameworks, standards, and performance measurement implementation.
- Advanced analytical capabilities for interpreting complex datasets and facilitating data-driven decisions.
- Skillful in strategic alignment of operational initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Proven leadership abilities in cross-functional settings, adept at influencing stakeholders and managing organizational changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex topics to senior management effectively.
- Academic background in management, operations, engineering or related discipline; a bachelor's degree is mandatory, with advanced degrees or certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP considered advantageous.
