Overview
Located in Newton, MA, this Director of Marketing position reports directly to the CEO of First Aid Beauty. The role requires a visionary leader to oversee all aspects of the brand, connecting deeply with consumers and leading impactful marketing campaigns that align with the brand's core purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Revitalize and sharpen the brand narrative and market positioning through innovative product development and creative marketing assets.
- Define a bold, brand-forward strategy that captures and modernizes the brand's voice and identity.
- Lead a collaborative, high-performing team spanning Global Product Development, Regional Marketing, Communications, Media, Social Media, PR, Influencer Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Consumer Engagement.
- Maintain clear guidance on brand purpose and ambitions, ensuring consistency of brand image across all consumer interactions.
- Drive the Global Product Development efforts to achieve award-winning product launches that stay true to brand values and meet compliance standards.
- Partner closely with the Creative Director to deliver consistent, on-brand creative content through an in-house creative studio.
- Analyze consumer behavior and media trends to develop authentic messaging and forward-thinking marketing programs.
- Strategize to strengthen customer acquisition, retention, and sales growth in both global retail and media landscapes.
- Manage the department’s budget and profit and loss, optimizing spend to ensure financial targets are met.
- Leverage consumer insights, market data, and marketing best practices to inform strategy and execution.
- Engage with corporate leadership and external industry partners, representing the brand publicly to media, press, and retail customers.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in marketing or brand management with comprehensive cross-functional collaboration across finance, legal, HR, operations, and other departments.
- Demonstrated background in the beauty industry (particularly skincare) and consumer packaged goods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields preferred.
- Strong international experience managing global brand initiatives.
- Proven track record leading, growing, and developing diverse teams.
- Experience creating and executing long-term strategic brand plans.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive approach, with experience in both large corporate and smaller business environments.
- Solid analytical skills with proficiency in market research and data-driven decision-making.
- Located preferably in Boston or NYC, with frequent travel (approximately 30%) and in-office presence required 2-3 days weekly.

Compensation varies depending on experience, location, and credentials, with total rewards including salary, bonus, and benefits. Salary range: $144,000 to $190,000 per year.
