Job description
About The Ned Doha
The Ned Doha is a luxury destination set inside Doha’s landmark former Ministry of Interior building. It combines historic character with refined design and contemporary style to deliver a standout hospitality experience.
The property features seven dining concepts, 90 thoughtfully designed rooms, sophisticated event venues, and Ned’s Club—a private members’ club with a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool. Together, these elements create a distinctive blend of heritage, creativity, and modern luxury.
The Opportunity
The Ned Doha is looking for an experienced and imaginative Director of Marketing & Communications to lead all marketing communications activity for the property. This role owns the MarCom function and is responsible for building the brand’s presence locally, across the region, and internationally, while also supporting commercial performance across rooms, membership, food and beverage, spa, and events.
This role suits a high-energy marketing leader who enjoys working in a fast-moving luxury hospitality setting and building strong relationships with guests, members, media, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen and sharpen The Ned Doha’s brand image so it remains distinctive within luxury lifestyle hospitality.
- Develop and manage public relations activity across Qatar, the GCC, the UK, the US, and other important feeder markets through strong media connections and compelling narratives.
- Oversee the property’s digital presence, including social media, CRM, content, and performance marketing, to deepen audience engagement and grow the brand community.
- Help sustain the profile and performance of the property’s dining venues, including Cecconi’s and other lifestyle-led concepts.
- Translate The Ned’s global identity into locally relevant brand storytelling that feels authentic and cohesive.
- Create and support innovative marketing activations, cultural initiatives, and partnerships that connect the property with Doha’s creative and social landscape.
Candidate Profile
- 10 to 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, including more than 5 years in leadership positions.
- Prior experience in luxury hospitality is essential.
- Professional background in the GCC is required; experience in Qatar is preferred.
- Strong exposure to lifestyle, membership, food and beverage, fashion, or cultural brands.
- Experience in luxury hospitality, fashion, or art environments, with exposure to New York or Hong Kong considered an advantage.
- Track record of managing multiple agencies and running PR campaigns across the GCC, UK, and US.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive salary package with tax-free earnings.
- 21 calendar days of annual leave and 11 paid public holidays.
- Sick leave in line with Qatar Labour Law.
- Private medical insurance.
- End-of-service benefits.
- Complimentary meals at Neddy’s team restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Special hotel and dining discounts for you, your family, and friends.
- Strong learning, development, and career growth opportunities.
- Recognition and reward programmes.
- The chance to work at one of Doha’s most iconic lifestyle destinations.
Culture
At The Ned Doha, inclusion, respect, and opportunity are central to the workplace. The team is committed to creating an environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive and continue to grow.
