Role Summary

The Director of Marketing will spearhead the integrated B2B and B2C marketing initiatives within Fremantle’s Distribution division and owned/operated Channels. This position is pivotal in elevating global brand recognition, aiding content sales to key broadcast and streaming partners, and expanding audience engagement and performance across consumer-facing channels. The role requires close collaboration with Distribution, Sales, Channels, Content, and Creative teams to maximize the impact of Fremantle’s content portfolio. This is a temporary assignment lasting up to six months, located onsite in Burbank, California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement marketing strategies targeting B2B audiences to support Fremantle’s global distribution operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution and Sales teams to strategically market content to broadcasters and streaming platforms.
  • Lead marketing efforts for content slates, formats, and completed programs across the US and North American markets.
  • Develop and manage essential sales collateral such as pitch decks, client presentations, sizzle reels, and case studies.
  • Create a comprehensive suite of promotional assets for show launches, including show logos, key art, trailers, promos, press kits, social and digital materials.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and presence at major trade markets and industry events like LA Screenings and BANFF.
  • Position Fremantle as a leading global content provider among industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee B2C marketing strategies for owned and operated channels across linear, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Drive audience growth, improve engagement, and enhance retention via integrated consumer marketing initiatives.
  • Manage channel branding, including on-air and off-air promotion, alongside digital marketing activities.
  • Partner with Channels, Programming, Creative, and Digital teams to support content launches and scheduling priorities.
  • Utilize audience insights to optimize campaign outcomes and growth tactics.
  • Guide overall brand strategy ensuring consistent messaging across B2B and B2C channels.
  • Lead multifaceted marketing campaigns spanning PR, digital, social media, content creation, paid advertising, and event marketing.
  • Oversee marketing budgets and coordinate with agencies and external partners.
  • Set KPIs, create reports, and deliver insights to evaluate marketing performance across distribution and channels.
  • Work in tandem with senior leadership to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 8 to 12+ years of comprehensive marketing experience in B2B and/or B2C contexts, ideally within media, entertainment, or content distribution sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with sales-driven organizations and consumer brands.
  • Deep knowledge of broadcast, streaming, and digital media landscapes.
  • Experience managing teams, handling budgets, and achieving measurable marketing results.
  • Background in international television distribution and channel marketing.
  • Proven track record marketing to both industry professionals and broad consumer audiences.
  • Strong creative vision combined with data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed global organizations.

Compensation

The position offers a weekly pay rate ranging between $2500 and $2700, not including bonuses or additional incentive-based compensation.
