Job description
Role overview
Venture Commercial is an AI-driven commercial real estate firm based in New York City. Since 2017, the company has been reshaping tenant expectations of brokerage services and has supported a number of high-profile companies along the way.
The business is looking for its first Head of Marketing & Community to define how the NYC brand is presented in the market, drive demand, and strengthen relationships with founders, operators, and investors who influence the company’s growth. This position combines growth marketing, brand and content leadership, and community development. The person in this role will create the operating model from the ground up rather than stepping into an existing playbook.
Key responsibilities
- Direct advertising spend and oversee creative strategy across all marketing channels.
- Steer the company’s brand tone and visual identity consistently across every platform.
- Manage the full social media program, including LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, with a cohesive perspective.
- Design and deliver out-of-home campaigns across important New York City submarkets.
- Create and operate a founder and operator community through events such as happy hours, dinners, and networking gatherings.
- Develop strategic partnerships with coworking companies, venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup-focused organizations.
- Participate in relevant Reddit communities, LinkedIn groups, and founder-focused Slack and Discord spaces.
- Work with leadership on outbound and inbound lead generation using tools such as Clay, Smartlead, and Salesforce.
- Monitor marketing-sourced pipeline activity in Salesforce and refine campaigns based on what drives results.
What the role calls for
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in marketing, growth, community, or a hybrid function, ideally in a role where you were accountable for outcomes.
- Strong writing ability and a clear point of view.
- Comfort working on a wide range of tasks, from paid campaigns to events to printed collateral, within the same week.
- Outgoing, relationship-oriented approach with an ability to turn casual contacts into a meaningful network.
- Comfort with data, CRM systems, and the difference between surface-level engagement and real pipeline impact.
- Based in New York City or open to relocating there.
Additional qualifications
Experience in real estate, proptech, or B2B marketing is an advantage. Familiarity with out-of-home media, basic design skills using Canva or Figma, an existing New York founder or investor network, and event production experience would also be beneficial.
Why this opportunity stands out
This is a chance to own marketing and community efforts from day one at a boutique brokerage with a distinct approach. The role offers direct access to founders, a meaningful voice in strategy, and a competitive base salary plus a performance bonus linked to marketing-attributed pipeline.
Location
This is an in-person role based in New York, NY.
