Role overview

This position is for a senior academic leader who has already turned a learning vision into measurable outcomes. The role calls for someone who has led teams directly, built practical learning science systems, and earned the authority to speak publicly about that work. 2 Hour Learning is looking for a strategic leader to shape its academic direction and guide execution across multiple school settings.

2 Hour Learning uses an accelerated model where students learn twice as fast in only two hours each day. The approach combines AI-powered tutoring, mastery-based advancement, and a redesigned classroom structure. With performance data supporting the model, the organization now needs a leader who can align delivery across schools, strengthen academic standards, and represent the model externally as a credible voice for evidence-based learning science.

This is an operational leadership role, not a theoretical academic one. The selected candidate will set academic strategy in practical terms, identify where execution is falling short, build strong teams, and turn scientific principles into consistent results. The role also includes representing the organization on a global stage.

What you will do

  • Create academic systems that translate learning science into curriculum design, motivation structures, and product/application development.
  • Review academic execution with Heads of Academics to keep school teams aligned, accountable, and delivering consistent outcomes.
  • Use data, interviews, and direct observation to assess the academic environment, identify obstacles to faster learning, and recommend targeted improvements.
  • Keep strategy focused through planning cycles, feedback loops, and milestone tracking so learning goals stay on course.
  • Act as the main public representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-stakes settings, including keynote talks and meetings with Ministries of Education, to support wider education reform.

  • This is not a research-only role that stays detached from measurable student outcomes or real-world implementation.
  • This role does not involve passing performance accountability to middle managers or outside consultants.
  • Success will not come from brand recognition or abstract ideas alone; it requires convincing key stakeholders through evidence and execution.

Role focus

You will help expand and sharpen 2 Hour Learning’s proven academic model by coordinating delivery across all schools, raising the bar for leadership, and becoming the visible advocate for a movement grounded in rigorous science and results.

Working arrangement and compensation

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week and is intended to be long term. The role is available immediately. It is structured as an independent contractor arrangement through Crossover acting as Contractor of Record. Compensation is $200 USD per hour, which works out to $400,000 USD per year based on 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is made weekly.
