About the Role
An organization in the manufacturing sector is looking for a senior Information Technology leader to drive strategy and oversee its technology environment. This is a full-time remote position suited to someone who can guide enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, security, applications, and support while working closely with executive stakeholders.
The right candidate will bring a strong background in managing enterprise-scale IT functions, leading modernization efforts, and ensuring technology investments directly support business goals. Hands-on familiarity with Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud or hybrid environments is an important advantage. While manufacturing exposure is a plus, it is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the organization’s IT direction, maintain the roadmap, and supervise everyday technology operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop sizable teams covering infrastructure, systems, applications, cybersecurity, and user support.
- Work with senior leaders and business teams to understand technology needs, rank priorities, and enable operational expansion.
- Drive modernization programs, digital transformation initiatives, and workflow improvements.
- Administer cloud and hybrid environments, with a focus on Microsoft technologies such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Safeguard uptime, stability, and security for mission-critical systems.
- Oversee cybersecurity controls, compliance, governance, risk practices, and incident handling.
- Manage IT spend, supplier partnerships, service agreements, and external technology vendors.
- Set and maintain IT policies, documentation standards, reporting routines, and performance measures.
Qualifications
- Proven senior IT leadership experience, ideally at director level or in a comparable role within a mid-sized or enterprise organization.
- Track record of guiding large technical teams and delivering cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Strong expertise in IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise software, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Experience delivering digital transformation, platform modernization, or business systems enhancements.
- Working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft enterprise tools.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder communication, budgeting, vendor coordination, and executive collaboration.
- Manufacturing sector experience is beneficial, though not essential.
- Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or CISM are an added advantage.
- Comfort working effectively in a remote leadership environment.
