Job description
Role overview
A growing organization is looking for a Director of Human Resources to work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and shape the next stage of its people strategy, talent strength, and HR systems.
This is a high-visibility role for a practical HR leader who can contribute at a strategic level while also taking direct ownership of execution across hiring, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, payroll, benefits, and performance management.
The company operates in a fast-moving, multi-state environment and is expanding rapidly. The right person will be comfortable establishing structure, developing stronger leaders, and putting in place scalable people processes that can support ongoing growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as a reliable HR partner and advisor to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Raise the effectiveness of managers and leaders across the organization.
- Enhance recruiting workflows and strengthen hiring results.
- Own employee relations, engagement, performance management, compensation, and benefits initiatives.
- Create repeatable HR programs, processes, and infrastructure that can support growth and acquisition-related activity.
- Promote accountability, better process discipline, and stronger people-management practices throughout the business.
Ideal background
The preferred candidate will have experience in fast-growing, entrepreneurial, or founder-led organizations, along with a strong operational approach and the ability to move comfortably between planning and execution. Success in building leadership capability, improving organizational effectiveness, and designing scalable HR practices is important. Experience supporting field-based, hourly, and blue-collar teams is also valued.
