Overview
This leadership role presents the opportunity to guide and influence the global engineering strategy for Emerson's Isolation Valves portfolio, encompassing Ball Valve, Butterfly Valve, and Knife Gate Valve products. The Director will integrate strong technical leadership with a focus on people development, driving engineering excellence, scalable processes, commercial execution, and nurturing a diverse global engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a worldwide engineering team responsible for order execution, product development, research, and lifecycle management of the Isolation Valves portfolio.
- Define and align global engineering priorities with overall business goals and customer requirements in collaboration with World Area leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor, develop, and retain engineering talent by cultivating an inclusive, cooperative, and high-achieving culture that encourages continual learning and accountability.
- Manage engineering budgets and resources efficiently, balancing urgent deliverables with long-term capability enhancements.
- Create transparent performance metrics, dashboards, and capacity planning tools to support informed decision-making and continuous process improvements.
- Champion global standardization of engineering methods, tools, and systems to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across various regions and product lines.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- At least 10 years of professional engineering experience.
- Demonstrated success leading global or dispersed engineering teams across cultures and time zones.
- Proficient in managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong capability to rapidly analyze complex processes, identify deficiencies, and implement effective solutions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge related to the Industrial Valves sector.
- Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or MBA are advantageous.
