Role Overview

This leadership position is key to establishing the foundational administrative framework for the Germany National Sales Company. The Director of General Management will be responsible for creating and overseeing essential operational functions, including Legal & Compliance, Data Privacy, Human Resources, IT, and Office Administration. Collaboration with the German management team and European Regional Centre is necessary to adapt processes locally and implement governance for sustainable growth.

Key Duties

  • Develop and organize core administrative and back-office departments.
  • Lead functions such as Legal, Compliance, HR, IT, and Office Administration, ensuring clear organizational structures, policies, and workflows.
  • Advise executive management on governance and administrative issues.
  • Ensure alignment with European Regional Centre's protocols and compliance with German-specific regulations.
  • Manage legal and compliance topics with internal and external counsel, implementing frameworks for GDPR, competition laws, and corporate governance.
  • Establish risk management and internal control mechanisms while acting as the primary liaison with data protection and regulatory bodies.
  • Set up procurement procedures, negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of goods and services.
  • Lead the entire HR process including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development with adherence to German labor laws.
  • Maintain a positive corporate culture and ensure labor regulation compliance.
  • Oversee IT operations and infrastructure, focusing on security, system reliability, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage office facilities, reception, administrative staff, and workplace efficiency.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of administrative workflows, scalable growth structures, budget adherence, and performance measurements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate administration, operations, or similar functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability managing diverse teams across functions.
  • Background in automotive, manufacturing, or multinational companies is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in establishing operational structures in emerging or growth organizations is highly valued.
  • Fluent in German (native or fluent) and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Expertise in German regulatory framework, including labor laws, compliance, and GDPR.
  • Strong strategic, organizational, communicative, and stakeholder management skills combined with practical execution.
