Job Overview
Join the team at Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas as the Director of Engineering, where you’ll play a key role in not only maintaining the facility and its systems but also enhancing the quality of guest experiences through outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and mentor a skilled engineering team by managing recruitment, training, performance reviews, and professional growth opportunities while acknowledging team accomplishments to maintain high morale and efficiency.
- Ensure all physical infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems are well-maintained and comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements through regular inspections and upkeep.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, prioritize work assignments, track progress via the property maintenance management system, and ensure prompt resolution of guest requests, concerns, and emergencies.
- Provide support and direction for capital and rehabilitation projects, handling scheduling, budget planning, contractor bidding, permits, and licensing to align with local laws and standards.
- Initiate and manage energy conservation programs to reduce utility expenses across the property.
- Monitor engineering department performance using KPIs such as maintenance status, audit feedback, and workforce productivity, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership in managing evacuation procedures, duty coverage, and other operational safety protocols.
- Possessing skills to communicate in Arabic, including reading and writing, will be considered beneficial.
