Job description
About WHSP Institute
The Women's Health, Sports & Performance Institute (WHSP) is committed to enhancing the health, performance, and long-term wellbeing of female athletes. Our goal is to combine optimal health with peak athletic performance by inspiring and educating researchers, clinicians, and the sports community about female athlete health research.
As a growing organization driven by its mission, WHSP transforms scientific insights into practical guidance for athletes, coaches, trainers, clinicians, parents, and sports organizations. Our facilities include a state-of-the-art physiology lab, a high-performance gym equipped with 3D biomechanical analysis, a research kitchen, and dedicated research spaces. We collaborate with universities, sports associations, and governing bodies to offer peer-reviewed science, clinician education, and best practices shaping the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead WHSP's outreach and educational strategies, translating female athlete health research into usable resources.
- Create and manage educational programs targeting athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and support personnel, both independently and in partnership with academic and sports institutions.
- Enhance WHSP’s profile and relevance within the sports community by identifying opportunities and defining success metrics.
- Work closely with WHSP researchers and experts to produce accessible and practical educational content for diverse audiences including athletes, coaches, and clinicians.
- Develop and oversee WHSP’s digital learning platform, curriculum, and multi-channel content such as webinars, newsletters, social media, and website materials.
- Ensure all educational materials are scientifically accurate while engaging and understandable by non-experts.
- Establish and cultivate partnerships with universities, athletic organizations, teams, sports governing bodies, media, nonprofits, and other stakeholders.
- Lead negotiation and management of partnership agreements and ensure their effective implementation.
- Represent WHSP at conferences, meetings, and events with professionalism and warmth in order to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
- Lead WHSP's programs and participation at major women’s sports and sports medicine events.
- Act as both a strategic leader and an active contributor within a small entrepreneurial team, overseeing growth of the Outreach & Education department.
- Manage WHSP’s ambassador program and the Athlete Advisory Board to support the organizational mission through athlete and coach voices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and program teams to ensure outreach initiatives support broader organizational objectives.
- Implement processes to bring structure, organization, and measurable outcomes to new initiatives.
