About Stuga
Stuga is a premium Scandinavian hardwood flooring brand designed for discerning homeowners and trade partners focused on sophisticated design. We operate as a lean, agile team passionate about quality products, an exceptional brand identity, and a seamless shopping experience.
Role Overview
We are searching for a proactive Director of E-commerce who will have complete ownership over our digital storefront and the marketing strategies that drive it. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity, combining strategic direction with operational involvement. The successful candidate will work directly with platforms like Shopify, Klaviyo, and analytics tools while managing relationships with performance marketing agencies and development partners. Over time, there will be chances to build and lead a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end operations of the Shopify storefront including merchandising, product pages, checkout, and promotional site updates.
- Drive conversion optimization through systematic A/B testing and funnel evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with web development partners to implement new features, address bugs, and improve user experience.
- Oversee email and lifecycle marketing efforts within Klaviyo, including designing flows, campaigns, and audience segmentation.
- Handle shipping and post-purchase communication workflows via Narvar.
- Develop and execute a monthly promotional schedule across all marketing channels.
- Supervise the performance marketing agency and ensure accountability for delivering measurable results.
- Provide weekly analytics reports on site performance using GA4 and conduct trend analysis on products and merchandising.
- Manage a marketing coordinator and coordinate activities with an external social media contractor.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of five years experience in e-commerce, ideally stepping up from a senior role ready to lead the function independently in a smaller, dynamic brand.
- Hands-on expertise with DTC technology stacks including Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics 4, and tools such as Narvar and Okendo.
- Demonstrated success in conversion rate optimization with a history of running impactful A/B tests and deploying effective improvements.
- Proven ability to manage agencies and external contractors efficiently.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment without a large team.
- Preferably experienced in premium, design-focused sectors like home goods, furniture, or luxury products.
Performance Metrics
- Enhancement of site conversion rates and total e-commerce revenue.
- Improved performance of email campaigns and lifecycle marketing, as well as meticulous execution of monthly promotional activities.
- Maintenance of site quality, functional speed, and robustness of the technology infrastructure.
- Consistency and depth in weekly reporting and merchandising trend insights.
Benefits
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
- Quarterly profit-sharing incentives.
- Unlimited paid time off.
- Work location flexibility between fully remote or Austin-based options.
