About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is pioneering the creation of exceptional entertainment and leisure destinations in Saudi Arabia. We are looking for a visionary and strategic Director of Design to lead the design philosophy and administration for all development projects, ensuring innovative outcomes that align perfectly with the company’s standard of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute design strategies that align with Qiddiya's mission and goals.
• Lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary team of designers and architects, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Supervise design processes from conception through project completion.
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure innovative, viable, and community-engaged design solutions.
• Evaluate and authorize design proposals, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Keep updated on international design trends and best practices, incorporating them into projects.
• Effectively manage project timelines and budgets to deliver on schedule and within cost.
• Engage clients and stakeholders by presenting design concepts and integrating their feedback.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of professional leadership experience in design, ideally within real estate or entertainment industries.
• Strong skills in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent leadership capabilities to motivate and oversee creative teams.
• Superior communication and presentation skills for conveying complex design solutions effectively.
• Demonstrated history of delivering impactful design projects within designated timelines and budgets.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles is a significant asset.
• Critical and creative thinker with meticulous attention to detail.
