Job description
Role overview
Join a rapidly expanding deep-tech platform in Europe that is entering a significant growth phase. The business is seeking a Director of Content & Programming to take charge of the intellectual direction of the platform and shape the conversations that matter across its community.
This role sits at the crossroads of founders, investors, corporate leaders, scientists, policymakers, and emerging technologies. It is a strategic leadership position for someone who can define themes, elevate the agenda, and build influence through content and programming.
What you will own
You will steer the content strategy, speaker programme, and thought leadership roadmap across a portfolio focused on AI, Defence, Space, Energy, Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing, Computing, and other emerging technologies.
Working closely with the founders, you will identify the ideas driving the future, secure high-calibre speakers, and develop a content engine that extends far beyond the flagship event.
Core duties
- Set and manage the content and programming direction for a leading European technology platform.
- Design compelling conference agendas and assemble strong speaker line-ups.
- Develop and maintain relationships with founders, investors, scientists, policymakers, and senior industry figures.
- Deliver year-round thought leadership across editorial, digital, and event-led channels.
- Spot emerging trends and shape the narratives influencing the deep-tech ecosystem.
- Guide and grow a small but expanding content and programming team.
Profile we are looking for
The organisation is open to candidates from a range of related backgrounds, including conference production, editorial leadership, journalism, and content strategy.
Ideal experience includes building conference agendas or editorial programmes, attracting high-profile speakers, and handling complex stakeholder relationships with confidence.
You should also bring strong writing, interviewing, and content development skills, plus the credibility to engage with senior executives, founders, investors, and technical specialists. A real interest in technology, innovation, science, and deep-tech topics is important.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary of up to €90,000 per year.
- Bonus opportunity.
- Equity options.
- Hybrid working arrangement with HQ in Berlin and the flexibility to be based anywhere across Europe.
- High autonomy and visibility in a fast-growing organisation.
- Direct exposure to influential leaders across European technology and innovation.
- Opportunity to build a recognised editorial voice and platform from a position of real influence.
Additional notes
This position is intended for someone who enjoys ideas, thrives in ambitious environments, and wants to help define the conversations shaping Europe’s technological future.
