Overview

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Commercial Strategy is accountable for meeting financial targets defined in the marketing plan by driving revenue through key national and international accounts. This role demands leadership over the sales team to achieve revenue goals and active participation in planning and executing marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the hotel meets overall financial objectives and sales targets of the responsible sales team.
- Create, coordinate, and implement targeted marketing activities supporting business goals.
- Act as a Talent Development Ambassador by nurturing training and career growth, facilitating cross-department assignments, and managing recruitment and selection aligned to the hotel’s future needs.
- Oversee strategic sales efforts including the formulation of marketing plans, pricing strategies, and promotional policies.
- Manage budgets for sales activities, monitor performance metrics, and initiate corrective measures to maximize revenue.
- Utilize automated sales and reservation systems effectively; maintain meticulous records of corporate, group, and travel trade accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date customer profiles and reservation information ensuring communication channels are refreshed and accurate.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and corporate developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Lead and partake in sales promotions, trade shows, and other business development events nationally and internationally.
- Coordinate with other departments to guarantee high guest satisfaction and align marketing efforts with hotel services.
- Develop and control the marketing budget and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns based on return on investment.
- Implement revenue management strategies alongside the Revenue Director to optimize room revenue and maintain high-quality reservation services.
