Position Overview
This pivotal leadership role oversees Ramsay Clinic Caloundra's mental health services alongside day surgery, endoscopy, and ophthalmology operations. As Director of Clinical Services / General Manager, you will have full responsibility for clinical quality, operational efficiency, and workplace culture, ensuring delivery of patient-focused mental health care. This position requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and executive stakeholders to enhance outcomes and foster sustainable growth in a values-driven healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence within mental health and associated programs.
- Lead clinical governance, accreditation processes, and quality initiatives to uphold high standards of care.
- Manage inpatient and day program outcomes to optimize patient experience and recovery.
- Control operational aspects including bed management, patient flow, workforce allocation, and demand planning.
- Develop and motivate multidisciplinary teams encompassing nursing, allied health, and support personnel.
- Collaborate directly with Visiting Medical Officers for patient-centric clinical partnerships.
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and resource distribution aligned with organizational objectives.
- Advance workforce wellbeing, engagement, and professional growth within the clinic.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, workplace health and safety, and organizational standards.
Candidate Profile and Expertise
- Experienced senior leader in private healthcare, preferably with background in mental health, day surgery, or complex clinical environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance and a record of improving quality and safety outcomes.
- Strong commercial and operational understanding balancing patient care priorities with organizational performance metrics.
- Proven leadership in building and nurturing high-functioning multidisciplinary teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with credibility to work alongside clinicians and executives.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, transformational leadership, and staff development.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse status with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
