Role Overview
The Director of Business Operations will serve as a key leader responsible for elevating operational effectiveness across Highland and its portfolio. This full-time remote position manages critical processes, spots improvement opportunities, and spearheads initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and financial outcomes. Daily tasks involve analyzing operations data, streamlining workflows, collaborating with various teams, and steering program management for strategic projects. The role requires close alignment with executives to integrate operations with business objectives, implement best practices, and develop performance metrics and dashboards. Additionally, mentoring team members, managing stakeholders, and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives are vital responsibilities.
Key Qualifications
- Proven expertise in business operations and process optimization, with a history of enhancing workflows and adopting best practices.
- Strong analytical acumen and financial skills to interpret data, construct business cases, and facilitate decision-making.
- Experience in program management, including the planning, executing, and tracking of intricate cross-functional projects.
- Capable of effectively operating in a remote setting, juggling multiple tasks, and collaborating with dispersed teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities, with skill in influencing without direct authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations management, or related disciplines; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
- Preferably experienced in consumer-facing industries such as retail, e-commerce, consumer products, or services.
