Role Overview
The Director of Business Development position is a full-time remote opportunity focused on boosting revenue growth and expanding strategic partnerships. This role spearheads the creation and execution of comprehensive business development strategies, seeks out and evaluates new business prospects, and manages the complete sales lifecycle from proposal preparation to contract finalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and implementation of business development plans.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end sales activities including proposal generation and contract negotiations.
- Establish and nurture essential client relationships.
- Supervise lead generation efforts and collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure offerings align with market demands.
- Monitor sales pipeline performance and optimize go-to-market strategies.
- Prepare forecasts and evaluate performance through detailed reports.
- Mentor and guide team members involved in business development tasks.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven success in new business development and lead generation, meeting or surpassing growth goals.
- Strong capabilities in business planning, including market analysis and strategic growth initiatives forecasting.
- Experienced in contract negotiation handling complex agreements aligned with company objectives.
- Skilled in account management, including client relationship growth, retention, and upselling/cross-selling strategies.
- Leadership experience with ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills suited for remote work environments.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, data analytics, and comprehensive reporting tools for pipeline management and informed decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with experience in related industries or comparable B2B contexts.
