Position Overview
A respected real estate investment management company in Lakeland, Florida, is recruiting a Director of Asset Management to supervise a multifamily property portfolio throughout fast-developing Southeastern markets. The role encompasses enhancing property performance, implementing strategic business plans, overseeing third-party property management relationships, and optimizing asset value during the investment cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of asset-specific business plans aimed at increasing Net Operating Income (NOI) and maximizing investment profitability.
- Oversee and critically assess third-party property management firms managing leasing, operations, budgeting, marketing, and cost-management strategies.
- Analyze asset performance, market dynamics, and competitors to uncover opportunities for value enhancement.
- Authorize annual operating budgets, review monthly financial statements, and validate forecasting assumptions.
- Prepare and present quarterly asset performance reviews, valuation data, and materials related to fund reporting.
- Collaborate with acquisitions, finance teams, and senior leadership to guide asset strategies, capital improvements, and timing of disposals.
- Provide performance updates to executive management and investment stakeholders regularly.
- Conduct frequent travel to review portfolio properties firsthand.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of pertinent real estate asset management background.
- Demonstrated direct experience managing multifamily residential assets is highly desirable.
- Experience managing multiple real estate assets concurrently.
- Strong competence in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and property valuation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel along with general Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in property management roles is considered an advantage.
- Exceptional communication capabilities to effectively collaborate with third-party operators and internal teams.
Additional Information
This opportunity offers an annual base salary between $175,000 and $185,000, complemented by performance bonuses. The position is based onsite in Lakeland, FL, with regular travel to properties expected. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the company representative directly via email.
