Job description

Role overview

Paramount Television Marketing is hiring a Director of Marketing Operations to serve as the operational bridge between marketing strategy and creative production. In this position, you will act as the main hub for creative resource planning across a multi-brand environment, helping direct how work is prioritized, routed, and staffed for CBS, MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and Paramount+.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing Operations, you will provide clear visibility into creative capacity and workload, work closely with Campaign Managers and Creative leaders, and help guide assignment sequencing so the right people are placed on the right work at the right time. The role is designed for someone who can bring structure to fast-moving, high-volume work while protecting focus for the most important initiatives.

You should be a systems-oriented problem solver who builds strong partnerships, brings calm to complexity, and helps teams operate more effectively. The ideal candidate can see the big picture while also managing the practical details needed to keep a large creative operation running smoothly.

Core responsibilities

  • Run the centralized resourcing approach for creative teams and make sure talent is matched effectively to each task.
  • Track live capacity, demand, and workload across AV, Design, Motion, Art, and other creative disciplines.
  • Serve as the key decision partner for how assignments are prioritized and sequenced.
  • Look ahead to high-volume periods and identify when outside support may be needed.
  • Screen and balance incoming requests so work remains sustainable and strategic priorities stay protected.
  • Create and refine efficient intake, prioritization, assignment, and delivery workflows.
  • Build consistent processes that can support both quick-turn programming and longer-lead 360 campaigns.
  • Keep Strategy, Campaign Management, and Creative teams aligned.
  • Improve leadership visibility into project movement so decisions can be made with better information.
  • Reduce friction in team handoffs and establish scalable operating procedures.
  • Manage and improve the tools used to support marketing workflows, including Airtable, AI, Jira, SharePoint, and related platforms.
  • Work with technology and production operations partners to streamline campaign planning, project flow, resourcing, reporting, and file management systems.
  • Drive AI adoption within Marketing Operations to speed up work, reduce repetitive tasks, and support creative teams.
  • Develop dashboards that show throughput, capacity, and performance for leadership.
  • Act as the main connection point between Marketing Ops and creative department leadership.
  • Build trusted working relationships across brands and creative groups so priorities, deadlines, and expectations stay aligned.
  • Provide ongoing communication about what is active, what is next, and where bottlenecks are forming.
  • Escalate operational findings to Marketing leadership so resources can be reallocated, priorities adjusted, and risks addressed early.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Creative Operations, Production Management, or a similar function within entertainment, broadcast, or creative agency settings.
  • Hands-on experience creating, tracking, and reconciling project budgets to inform operational and creative decisions.
  • Prior Head of Production or Senior Project Management experience at an entertainment company or advertising/promotion agency is preferred.
  • Experience working in multi-brand or matrixed organizations.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast cycles, content pipelines, and 360 campaign launches.
  • Strong command of workflow systems, operational tools, or marketing project management platforms.
  • Strong analytical ability and the skill to turn data into practical operational recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and bringing order to complex systems.
  • Experience introducing AI tools or workflow automation is considered a plus.

Compensation and benefits

The posted salary range is $130,000 to $180,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on factors such as location, market conditions, experience, training, and education. This role is bonus eligible.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, tuition assistance, and PTO, or other benefits as determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Additional offerings include strong compensation and benefits, generous paid time off, opportunities to participate in on-site and virtual engagement events, and chances to build meaningful connections within the workplace community.
