Role Overview

We are looking for a Director, Global Sales to help drive leisure and transient business and strengthen room revenue across Auberge Collection. This role requires strong experience in resort destinations across the US, Mexico, and Europe, along with the ability to build meaningful relationships and generate high-value business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance Auberge Collection’s revenue objectives by bringing in leisure transient business.
  • Contribute to property revenue targets through leisure group and transient sales efforts.
  • Partner with tourism organizations to uncover and maximize business opportunities.
  • Plan and carry out direct sales activity through calls, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits, with an expectation of about 5 business development actions per day and 25 per week.
  • Identify priority accounts and arrange familiarization trips that improve return on investment.
  • Assess opportunities to create new business channels and expand the client base.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts aligned to the hotel’s wholesale approach.
  • Participate in daily and property-specific calls as required.
  • Keep the Salesforce client database current, accurate, and well-organized.
  • Set up and maintain a suitable remote workspace.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and a professional approach to sales service.
  • Present a polished, professional image and demeanor while representing the company.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers, trade partners, industry contacts, and internal team members.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned or developed by leadership.

Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required.
  • At least 8 years of sales experience in a luxury hotel sales or regional environment, with established relationships in the region.
  • A proven history of delivering strong sales revenue in luxury hospitality settings.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and close transient business with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Capability to research prospects, grow existing accounts, and build new business opportunities.
  • Self-driven work style with the ability to meet goals with little direct supervision.
  • Comfort handling large volumes of information and managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and use financial information effectively.
  • Working knowledge of hotel-industry sales processes.
  • Strong presentation skills for communicating clearly with guests, executives, managers, and employees.
  • Ability to present ideas in a persuasive and engaging way.
  • Excellent written communication skills for sales and marketing materials.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with luxury travel agencies and consortia.
  • Proficiency with GSuite, LinkedIn, Delphi, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to plan and execute sales travel within budget and in line with corporate travel policy.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible days and hours, with proper travel documents including a driver’s license, Real ID, and passport.
  • Experience selling luxury resort destinations in the US, Europe, and Mexico.
  • Experience representing resorts with residential and villa offerings.
  • Experience working in a remote sales-office setup.
  • Experience collaborating with professional organizations that support the leisure travel sector.
  • Preferred technical knowledge of GDS and Opera PMS.

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic and international travel for trade shows and regional sales missions.
  • Travel to resorts for site visits, meetings, and familiarization trips with travel professionals.
  • Travel for internal sales and marketing meetings.
  • Travel to provide limited on-site coverage when needed.
