About the Role

The Director of FP&A for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at Zip Co will spearhead the financial strategy to shape the company's future in these regions. Collaborating closely with senior leadership across Product, Commercial, Strategy, and Operations, this role drives growth, investment, and performance outcomes by delivering sharp financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee ANZ budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning to align financial results with strategic priorities.
  • Convert complex commercial, product, and operational factors into insightful information to support executive decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess growth initiatives, pricing strategies, investments, and margin enhancement.
  • Create comprehensive scenario models and forecasting frameworks to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Enhance FP&A capabilities by implementing automation, scalable planning, and improved data accessibility.
  • Promote the use of business intelligence tools, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled forecasting techniques.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture centered on growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate robust risk-return considerations into financial planning and forecasting to align with corporate goals and risk appetite.
  • Continuously advance financial transparency, forecasting precision, and performance management across the ANZ operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive leadership experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance within fast-growing technology, fintech, or financial services sectors.
  • Strong commercial insight connecting financial outcomes to company strategy and growth aims.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence.
  • Proven influence and partnership skills with executive stakeholders across multiple domains.
  • Experience managing and nurturing top-performing teams amid growth and change.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning systems, ERP platforms, and contemporary reporting tools.
  • Passion for leveraging automation, business intelligence, and emerging AI technologies to elevate decision-making quality.
  • Exposure to consumer lending, fintech, or financial services metrics such as unit economics, customer acquisition, margins, cost of capital, or bad debt modeling is advantageous.
  • A mindset open to adopting AI and new technological tools for continuous development.
  • Strong risk identification and management capabilities, consistent with Zip's leadership culture.
