Role Overview
The Director of Foundation Year is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and academic leadership to the Foundation Year program at Monash College, a vital pathway to Monash University. This role focuses on delivering an outstanding educational experience to prepare students effectively for university studies, whilst fostering continuous enhancement of teaching and student outcomes.

Monash College has over 30 years of experience offering pathways into Monash University through Diplomas, Foundation Year, and English programs. It acts as the key access point for students entering the university.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Foundation Year program strategically to ensure exemplary teaching and alignment with institutional goals and the Education Strategy
- Continuously enhance program delivery by assessing teaching methods, student results, and compliance with required standards
- Encourage and support professional growth among teaching staff through engagement with innovative practices and adherence to the College’s teaching frameworks
- Manage resource allocation efficiently, including budgets, facilities, scheduling, and teaching assignments to maximize program effectiveness
- Oversee the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize processes and promote student success
Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or Business Management, complemented by teaching experience
- Significant experience in achieving educational commercial and financial objectives, including budget and resource management
- Strong understanding of current educational trends, particularly the application of technology to enhance teaching and learning
Additional Information
This is a full-time, ongoing role based at 750 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne. Remuneration can reach up to $220,000 total package inclusive of superannuation, dependent on skills and experience.
