Role overview
As a Director within the Transformation Delivery and Change group, you will spearhead major transformation initiatives across the Energy, Mining and Utilities industries. The role calls for a strong mix of strategic insight, hands-on delivery capability, and sector knowledge to help senior stakeholders improve performance, strengthen agility, and achieve measurable outcomes.
Leadership and strategy
- Shape and deliver complex change programs, covering digital change, operational redesign, and technology rollouts.
- Create and implement approaches that reflect client goals and current industry direction across Energy, Mining and Utilities.
- Serve as a trusted senior advisor by offering practical guidance and recommendations on difficult business issues.
Program delivery
- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery for transformation work, making sure timelines, budgets, and scope are managed effectively.
- Coordinate cross-functional groups and promote strong collaboration and accountability.
- Spot delivery risks early and put mitigation actions in place to support successful outcomes.
Client engagement
- Develop trusted client relationships by understanding their priorities and tailoring solutions to fit their needs.
- Represent the firm as an industry voice in the Energy, Mining and Utilities sector through forums, events, and publications.
Sales and business development
- Drive consulting sales activity by finding, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities using your network and market knowledge to identify client needs and position relevant solutions.
- Work with internal teams to create persuasive proposals, presentations, and value propositions.
- Contribute thought leadership through industry participation to strengthen market visibility.
Team development
- Coach and support team members to build capability and encourage a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Promote knowledge exchange and collaboration across the transformation team and the wider network.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should have relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, or a related area. Postgraduate study, such as an MBA, is considered an advantage. Strong experience leading large-scale transformation programs, ideally in Energy, Mining, and Utilities, is expected, along with solid knowledge of sector trends, challenges, and opportunities. You should also bring strong program and project management skills, including experience with Agile and Waterfall approaches, plus the ability to influence stakeholders at every level and lead complex multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving environment.
