Job description

Role Overview

Project FoodBox is expanding Food as Medicine programs across California and New York, partnering with health plans, managed care organizations, social care networks, and community organizations to provide medically tailored groceries, fresh produce, and meals to members who need support.

The organization is seeking a Director of Client & Partner Success to own post-sale partner relationships and make sure programs are delivered with strong quality, compliance, and measurable outcomes. This is a leadership role focused on the full partner success engine, not a standard account management position.

The selected candidate will direct the relationship model, operating rhythm, quarterly business reviews, escalation handling, reporting rigor, and the team responsible for daily partner execution. The role supports both California payer programs and New York Social Care Network programs, and it will help evolve the existing Partner Operations function into a national client and partner success capability.

The position is remote-friendly, with travel expected to New York and California. East Coast candidates are preferred, and the New York City area is considered ideal.

Scope of Work

  • Oversee California payer programs covering medically tailored meals, grocery delivery, member services, operational results, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Support New York Social Care Network initiatives involving HRSN workflows, screening and navigation coordination, referral and enrollment performance, delivery operations, compliance, and partner reporting.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for healthcare and payer partners while also working closely with internal operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Build clear ownership, next steps, and decision-making across partner and operations conversations.

Ideal Background

The company is looking for someone with extensive experience in healthcare operations, Medicaid, managed care, payer partnerships, or healthcare client success, along with a track record of leading operationally complex partner relationships.

The role calls for comfort working with health plans, MCOs, provider organizations, SCNs, CBOs, and Medicaid-funded programs, as well as a strong command of compliance, service-level expectations, reporting discipline, partner performance, and process improvement.

This person should be able to create structure in a fast-moving environment and bring strong leadership, accountability, and follow-through.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay for this role is $140,000 to $170,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.

Why This Role

  • Mission-driven work with visible community impact.
  • High ownership and strong exposure to leadership.
  • Direct collaboration with healthcare and payer partners.
  • Opportunity to shape a critical function during national growth.
  • A blend of strategy, operations, and relationship leadership.
