Job description

About the Role

This position is accountable for leading the relationship management function for airport stakeholders. The role spans the full cycle of stakeholder engagement, including evaluation, planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring, and review, with the aim of improving outreach, increasing KSIA’s value, and reinforcing operational capability.

Strategy and Planning

  • Support the preparation of the Corporate Affairs business plan so it aligns with KSIA’s overall strategy.
  • Create the operational plan for Airport Stakeholders Management in line with the Corporate Affairs business plan and the CEO Office strategic plan.
  • Execute approved plans and contribute ideas that help meet stakeholder-management objectives tied to KSIA’s broader strategic priorities.

Budget Management

  • Coordinate budget needs for Airport Stakeholders Management with senior leadership and feed into the budgeting cycle.
  • Use the allocated budget efficiently and provide clear updates on progress as well as any challenges faced.
  • Track budget performance closely and report any variance against the approved plan accurately.

Airport Stakeholders Relations Management

  • Define criteria for identifying and choosing the most suitable airport stakeholders, ensuring they fit KSIA’s strategy.
  • Assess other stakeholder opportunities that could create additional value for KSIA and issue preliminary approvals based on established criteria.
  • Build a yearly engagement plan for airport stakeholder relations, working with relevant internal and external parties to expand outreach and strengthen operational capability.
  • Extend KSIA’s network and deepen relationships with selected stakeholders by building trust, credibility, and cooperation while supporting organizational goals and shared value creation.
  • Represent KSIA at local and international events to raise the organization’s profile, enhance its reputation, and build a strong network with industry leaders, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
  • Plan and oversee regular stakeholder visits, events, and workshops to sustain and grow relationships while safeguarding KSIA’s image.
  • Handle ongoing communication with stakeholders, including incoming and outgoing queries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Support resolution of complex escalations by identifying root causes, facilitating discussion, and working with relevant parties to implement practical solutions in line with policy.
  • Ensure all stakeholder-relations documentation is properly filed and archived for tracking and future reference.
  • Measure the effectiveness of stakeholder-relations activities, drive corrective actions and improvements, and determine whether relationships should continue or end.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Lead the creation and rollout of policies and procedures for Airport Stakeholders Management so that legal and procedural requirements are met while delivering strong results efficiently.
  • Keep up to date with best practices to continuously improve the systems, processes, and policies used in stakeholder management.
  • Stay informed on Corporate Affairs best practices and emerging trends, and recommend updates, enhancements, and corrective actions where needed.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback on pain points and requirements to identify obstacles and develop action plans.
  • Develop a strong understanding of local market trends, business opportunities, and the regulatory environment.
  • Participate in relevant forums, seminars, and similar events to expand your network and stay informed about new developments and opportunities.

People Management

  • Contribute to identifying and recruiting high-potential talent.
  • Coach, guide, and support direct reports so they can perform their duties in accordance with established policies and processes.
  • Set individual goals, provide support, evaluate performance, and offer regular feedback to team members.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and promote KSIA values across the team.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline is required. A master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field is preferred.

Experience

At least 8 years of relevant experience in a similar or equivalent role is required, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial capacity.
