Role Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play an important caregiving role by supporting individuals in their day-to-day lives, encouraging independence, and helping them participate in meaningful activities. The work is hands-on, relationship-based, and centered on helping participants live well.
What You’ll Do
- Provide support that helps individuals grow, learn, and maintain a fulfilling routine.
- Build supportive, meaningful connections with the people you serve.
- Use good judgment and act with autonomy while following what is best for participants.
- Encourage community involvement and participation in preferred activities.
- Help participants work toward personal development goals such as budgeting, physical activity, and healthy eating.
- Assist with personal hygiene and day-to-day care needs.
- Support individuals who may experience behavioral challenges or other complex needs.

What You Need
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- At least six months of experience in human services, direct support, or care coordination is preferred.
- Strong communication, flexibility, multitasking, teamwork, and time management abilities.
- Personal qualities such as patience, compassion, dependability, and responsibility.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
