Job description

About the Role

At TELUS Digital, the mission extends beyond conventional model building; we create comprehensive 'Digital Twins' that mirror the physical environment in unparalleled detail. As a specialist in digital twins and synthetic reality, you spearhead advancements in Spatial AI by engaging with 3D simulations and synthetic environments rather than just 2D images. Your work will connect architectural designs, physical principles, and machine vision, contributing to the foundational technology behind autonomous infrastructure and the industrial metaverse.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform 3D point-cloud annotation using LiDAR and depth sensing data to identify and label objects, enabling AI comprehension of spatial volumes and distances.
  • Conduct physics-consistency audits of AI-generated synthetic data to ensure realistic simulation of gravity, lighting, and collision behaviors.
  • Execute spatial semantic labeling on digital twin models of complex environments such as factories, hospitals, and urban areas, helping AI understand functional roles of machinery and infrastructure.
  • Validate synthetic-to-real (Sim2Real) performance by assessing discrepancies between AI behaviors in simulated versus real-world conditions and refining training data to close these gaps.

Assessment Process

Candidates will undergo a specialized qualification exam tailored to assess subject suitability alongside mandatory identity verification.

Inclusivity Statement

TELUS is committed to equal opportunity employment, valuing diversity across all demographics including race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability status, and veteran status. Selection is merit-based, focusing solely on candidate qualifications and performance.

Candidate Eligibility

  • Minimum of 1 year professional experience relevant to the field.
  • Ability to work during the Indian Standard Time window of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
  • Candidates should ideally be Computer Science Engineering students with a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, criminal justice, forensic science, or information security.
  • Native-level command over the primary language to recognize localized documents and regional identity features.
  • Competent English skills with at least intermediate (B1) proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Strong analytical skills with acute attention to pixel-level details in digital imagery.

Compensation and Work Conditions

This is a part-time, remote position with an annual salary range from $5,760 to $12,000. The company offers flexible work-from-home arrangements without fixed schedules. Immediate start available with 20 vacancies open.
