Businesses of every size depend on Google advertising tools to expand in a fast-changing marketing landscape. In this position, you will bring a strong sales mindset, online media knowledge, and a focus on customer success. The role calls for an owner’s mindset, quick adaptation to change, and the ability to turn customer needs into practical, high-impact solutions. You will collaborate with sellers, help shape advertising in the AI era, and contribute to outcomes that matter to both Google and its customers.

The Accelerated Growth team works with existing advertisers to increase their Google Ads investment by applying growth-focused strategies. As a Digital Strategy Lead, you will manage the full sales journey from prospecting through closed deals and follow-on upsells, while helping clients scale their businesses through Google’s advertising solutions.

Google Customer Solutions teams serve as trusted advisors and competitive sellers for small and medium-sized businesses. You will work with business owners and support their growth through thoughtful, performance-driven advertising guidance.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, media account management, or a closely related field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in driving business expansion and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Proven success in achieving or surpassing individual sales quotas or revenue goals in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to build a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and ownership of end-to-end sales cycles.
  • Capability to convert complex business challenges into effective Google Ads recommendations.
  • Experience managing and growing relationships with C-suite executives or other key stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify prospective customers from an assigned pool of leads.
  • Own the end-to-end sales funnel and build quarterly plans to meet quota targets.
  • Increase customers’ Google Ads investment by proposing tailored marketing solutions across the full Google product suite.
  • Find creative opportunities to grow existing accounts, offer performance-improvement ideas, and introduce additional Google products.
  • Maintain steady pipeline momentum through customer engagement over Meet, email, and in-person interactions, while delivering revenue goals and a strong advertiser experience.

Compensation and benefits

The pay for this role is influenced by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In the US, the base salary range is $88,000 to $125,000, with a 35% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
