About the Role
Join Air New Zealand's dynamic Digital team supporting millions of travellers annually. This graduate role in the DevOps area focuses on building, automating, and maintaining the technology that ensures seamless digital platform operations. You will engage with cloud infrastructure, automation, and monitoring tools to enhance system reliability, security, and performance while developing diverse technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a graduate, you will collaborate with experienced team members to implement and maintain cloud systems, automate processes, and support ongoing platform stability to deliver excellent digital experiences.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a STEM discipline emphasizing software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, or automation.
- Currently in the final year of study, completing by end of 2026, or graduated within the past 18 months.
- Has below two years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and initiative in technology beyond academics, including personal projects, open source contributions, AI tool exploration, app or website development, cybersecurity challenges, or data-driven problem solving.
- Thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling ambiguous challenges.
- Holds legal authorization to work full-time and permanently in New Zealand.

Application and Selection Process
- Submit an online application between 10 to 23 August detailing your background and enthusiasm for the programme.
- Record a self-introduction video early to mid-September to showcase your personality and motivations.
- Participate in a Graduate Day at Auckland office in late September involving discussions, group activities, and meetings with Air New Zealand team members.
- Attend a final conversation with your prospective manager to understand daily work expectations.
- Successful candidates undergo pre-employment checks leading to an official offer in early October.
