Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Digital Design Member of Technical Staff to spearhead the creation and delivery of digital controller IPs that manage power, clock, and error functions for the Treo™ platform. This role demands direct technical leadership in building sophisticated digital IPs, integrating closely with analog and mixed-signal components intended for automotive-grade System on Chips (SoCs).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect digital system controllers focusing on power management, clock management, and error handling subsystems.
- Develop reliable digital IP that interfaces intimately with analog and mixed-signal elements.
- Manage IP delivery end-to-end from concept and RTL coding through verification, integration, and silicon support.
- Oversee digital-on-top integration including SoC IP incorporation, along with clocking, reset, power domain, and safety functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with automotive functional safety standards like ISO 26262, encompassing ASIL, fault coverage, and diagnostics.
- Collaborate across teams including analog design, verification, physical design, system safety, and product engineering.
- Set and maintain IP development roadmaps aligned with strategic platform, product, and business goals.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers fostering excellent design practices and review processes.
- Drive continuous enhancements in design approaches, verification methods, and automation productivity tools.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies such as AI and ML and their applicability in digital design workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in digital design within ASIC or SoC domains.
- Demonstrable success in delivering automotive IP that fulfills functional safety requirements.
- Expertise designing digital controllers for analog components including power regulators, PLLs, sensors, and clocking circuits.
- Comprehensive understanding of system-level digital integration focusing on power/clock domain management, reset strategies, error handling, and safety.
- Proficiency in RTL design using SystemVerilog.
- Experience with advanced verification methodologies like SystemVerilog constrained-random techniques and UVM.
- Ability to independently manage complex technical challenges, exemplifying strong communication and leadership skills to mentor others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 safety standards and their application at concept, system, or IP levels.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA for workflow tracking and JAMA for managing requirements.
- Knowledge of safety diagnostics, fault injection, and dedicated safety verification methodologies.
- Contribution to IP platform strategies and multi-generation roadmaps.
- Understanding of low-power design and power-aware verification techniques.
