Job description

Role overview

PUMA Hoops is built around creativity, cultural relevance, and strong storytelling. In this role, you will help define the visual direction for basketball apparel by developing graphics that feel bold, current, and connected to sport culture.

You will work closely with apparel design, footwear design, PLM, color, and sourcing partners to make sure each collection tells one clear story. The work spans seasonal graphics, fast-turn pieces for timely cultural moments, and capsule or regional projects that bring the brand to life both on and off the court.

What you will do

  • Create seasonal graphic concepts that support PUMA’s creative direction and strengthen the Hoops brand identity.
  • Collaborate with apparel, footwear, PLM, and color teams so product stories stay aligned across the collection.
  • Produce quick-response graphics tied to sport and cultural moments, while keeping quality and timing on track.
  • Build complete graphic packages, including placements, trims, prints, and patterns that can be used across product tiers.
  • Help shape seasonal color palettes and keep color usage consistent across categories.
  • Keep graphic assets well organized and ensure files are handed off on schedule to PUMA Group Sourcing.
  • Own at least one capsule or regional project each season, from early concept work through final execution.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of graphic design craft, basketball culture awareness, and the ability to work quickly without losing precision. You should be comfortable adapting to feedback, presenting ideas clearly, and handling a fast-moving apparel environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience designing graphics for apparel.
  • Strong ability to tell stories visually and an understanding of cultural trends.
  • Independent, proactive mindset with the flexibility to adjust quickly and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and solid command of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of basketball culture and lifestyle trends in sport.
  • Strong illustration ability and custom typography skills.
  • Confident presenter who can respond to feedback professionally.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay range for this position is USD 51,800 to 68,905 per year, plus bonus and benefits. Final pay may differ based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
