Job description

Role overview

Mutabor is seeking a designer with prior experience in brand-focused work who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this role, you will independently shape compelling brand appearances for national and international clients, guiding projects from the earliest concept stage through to final delivery. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborate closely with senior designers and design directors, and contribute your growing expertise to brand projects. The role calls for conceptual thinking, precise craft, and a willingness to take ownership.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute corporate design and brand identity concepts independently, in close coordination with the design and creative direction team.
  • Create the visual look and feel for brand and product communication, including imagery style, colour concepts, and type systems.
  • Design layouts for a wide range of uses across digital and print channels.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and brand guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Review competitors and help position clients effectively within their market.
  • Own partial projects and manage them with a high degree of responsibility.
  • Find creative solutions to design challenges while keeping client and user needs in view.
  • Support junior designers and interns through constructive feedback during day-to-day project work.
  • Stay actively engaged with current trends, tools, and methods in branding and corporate design.

What you need

  • A completed degree in communication design, graphic design, visual communication, or a comparable qualification.
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained in a branding or design agency.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating corporate design and brand identity work.
  • Excellent skills in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Initial experience with design systems and brand guidelines.
  • Strong conceptual ability combined with solid design craft and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint or Keynote for client-facing presentations.
  • Ability to clearly visualise, explain, and present ideas.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
