Deputy Manager - Warehouse and Logistics Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to oversee warehouse and logistics operations at our manufacturing facility in Mundra, Gujarat. The role involves managing raw material storage, assembly line feeding, dispatch coordination, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee storage, preservation, and timely delivery of raw materials required for nacelle, hub, and drive train assemblies.
• Ensure components are consistently supplied to assembly lines and finished products are dispatched effectively to wind farm sites.
• Create assembly kits by grouping raw materials according to station requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records with proper placement and traceability of materials.
• Receive forecasts and business plans, allocating demand within SAP systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with production teams to establish and update production schedules using SAP.
• Coordinate with procurement to guarantee timely receipt of materials aligning with production timelines.
• Prepare blades and components for dispatch as per schedules and ensure centralized logistics coordination for vehicle placement and loading.
• Manage dispatch documentation alongside physical verification processes.
• Implement warehouse management systems adhering to IMS and Business Excellence standards.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and maintain 5S methodology.
• Support prototype development and continuous process improvements within the warehouse operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
• Preferred certification in SAP with specialization in Materials Management module.
• At least five years of independent experience managing warehouse operations in a nacelle manufacturing environment.
