Role Overview
This opening is for an experienced electrical maintenance and automation professional to serve as Section Incharge for continuous processing operations in Gudur, Andhra Pradesh. The role covers the electrical and automation systems for Continuous Galvalume/Galvanizing/Color Coating lines, Cold Rolling Mill operations, Pickling Line, and plant substations.
The position suits someone who can independently manage line reliability, maintenance execution, and automation support across steel/metal continuous processing environments.

Experience
Applicants should bring 10 to 20 years of relevant experience in steel, metal, or continuous processing line operations.
Education
B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
Core Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of electrical maintenance and automation for CGL, CCL, CRM, and pickling line/substation areas.
- Keep electrical systems, drives, PLCs, and automation controls running smoothly and reliably.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Guide shift engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff, and coordinate day-to-day maintenance work.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation faults quickly during live operations.
- Protect the availability and performance of critical plant equipment.
- Work closely with production teams to support process stability and ongoing improvements.
- Maintain complete maintenance documentation, reports, and service records.
- Ensure all work follows safety norms and statutory compliance requirements.
Technical Exposure Needed
- Hands-on experience with ABB and Siemens drives, preferably including newer versions.
- Working knowledge of PLC platforms such as ABB, Siemens, or similar systems.
- Experience with industrial electrical automation systems.
- Familiarity with HT/LT panels, transformers, and substations.
- Strong understanding of continuous Galvalume/Galvanizing/Color Coating line operations.
- Working knowledge of Cold Rolling Mill processes.
- Exposure to maintenance troubleshooting, upgrades, and system improvements in electrical automation setups.
Preferred Profile
- Experience in similar steel processing lines is strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage the entire section without close supervision.
- Strong leadership, ownership, and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort working with modern automation platforms and upgrade initiatives.
