A key part of the role is partnering with trade counterparts and other stakeholders to design and roll out effective co-marketing initiatives.
You should be comfortable engaging clients, uncovering their requirements, and using internal support to deliver targets while supporting long-term business expansion.
What you will do
- Partner with the Unit Head to carry out strategies aimed at increasing visitorship and revenue.
- Coach team members on execution plans, market performance, budget delivery, forecasting, and achieving the right business mix.
- Create and roll out sales initiatives that build awareness and position Sentosa as a desirable destination.
- Develop productive working relationships with both internal teams and external partners to deliver shared goals.
- Find new and existing accounts, and use calls, meetings, and site visits when needed to exceed visitorship and revenue goals.
- Expand the account base, manage incoming leads, and close deals across Sentosa sales channels, including the B2B portal.
- Plan and take part in travel fairs, industry functions, and business networking events.
- Coordinate familiarisation visits and site inspections for clients such as travel agencies, event organisers, and destination management companies.
- Arrange, carry out, and follow up on sales trips, roadshows, and trade shows in assigned markets.
- Draft and present materials on Sentosa’s products and services.
- Prepare business documents, trip write-ups, and presentations.
- Communicate confidently to senior leaders and large groups.
- Improve product marketing visibility to raise awareness and strengthen brand presence.
- Draft contracts and proposals to turn agreements into formal arrangements.
- Work with travel trade partners, wholesalers, agents, and media on joint marketing and promotional opportunities.
- Spot market movements and promotional openings that can improve Sentosa’s brand positioning and results.
- Build quarterly action plans using market insights and long-term business direction.
- Use relevant systems and tools to track accounts and follow up proactively.
- Share market updates through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including trip reports.
Requirements
- A degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in tourism or travel, backed by a strong sales record.
- Background in preparing leisure travel itineraries and group contract proposals.
- Well-developed organisation and follow-through skills.
- Good numerical ability with a strong analytical mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese.
- Ability to analyse business signals and competitor trends effectively.
- Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel and work on weekends and public holidays when necessary.
- A proactive, positive, self-driven, and goal-oriented attitude.
