Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a Deputy Head to join our residential home in Püttlingen, Saarland, dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. This full-time or part-time role offers flexible weekly hours ranging from 19.5 to 39 hours and is available immediately on a permanent contract under the collective agreement TV AWO Saarland EG S15.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pedagogical and social care along with developmental support for people with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized participation plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Engage actively with parents, carers, and relevant authorities to ensure comprehensive support.
- Prepare detailed developmental reports documenting progress and needs.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with personalized participation plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed degree in Social Work or Social Pedagogy (B.A./Diploma) or an equivalent qualification.
- Leadership qualification as stipulated by the staff regulations of the Saarland State Home Act.
- Willingness to work shifts including weekends.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with a commitment to quality.
- Possession of a respectful and open-minded approach towards people.
