About the Role
This position is for an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager in Financial Reporting located in Calicut or Bangalore, India, requiring 0-2 years of relevant experience and a Chartered Accountant qualification. The role focuses on preparing timely and accurate financial statements, managing month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, and assisting with audit procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements adhering to IFRS and regulatory standards.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports including the Statement of Financial Position, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Equity Changes, and accompanying notes.
- Support financial closing activities and guarantee punctual reporting.
- Conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and review ledger entries.
- Analyze financial outcomes and investigate notable discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Assist in statutory audit processes and resolve audit-related queries efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to IFRS, organizational policies, and compliance mandates.
- Contribute to the rollout of new accounting standards and updated reporting directives.
- Generate management reports and financial analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Identify and propose resolutions to accounting and reporting challenges.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring endeavors.
- Drive enhancements in reporting workflows to boost efficiency.
- Keep accounting policies and procedural documents current.
- Participate actively in finance transformations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess Chartered Accountant certification (CA).
- Have 0-2 years of pertinent experience in areas including financial reporting, statutory audits, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in preparing financial statements and necessary disclosures.
- Prior involvement in statutory audits or financial reporting is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- In-depth understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in compiling financial statements.
- Knowledgeable about accounting controls, reconciliations, and audit methodologies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
