Role Summary

The Deputy Director of Category Demand Management will bring 5 to 9 years of professional experience to the role. This position is pivotal in managing and enhancing demand within specific product categories. The role involves strategic and operational responsibilities aimed at aligning category demand with company goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategies to stimulate demand in assigned categories aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to analyze market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to uncover opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead demand forecasting and planning efforts across all organizational levels for the categories managed.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and supply chain functions to guarantee sufficient inventory and product availability that satisfy demand.
  • Track and evaluate category demand metrics and KPIs to measure the success of demand management activities.
  • Offer strategic insights and advice to senior leadership about demand trends, risks, and opportunities in the categories.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices in demand planning and management.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvements to optimize category demand management processes.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Expertise in demand management and demand planning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of pricing and promotional strategies relevant to category growth.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and market intelligence gathering.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams including sales, marketing, and supply chain.
  • Experience in compliance management relating to demand planning.

Educational Qualification

A bachelor's degree (undergraduate level) is required for this position.
