Role Description
This full-time, on-site position in Loughrea calls for a skilled Dental Technician responsible for designing, producing, and refining dental prosthetics including crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implant-supported restorations guided by dental practitioners' specifications. Daily responsibilities consist of handling dental impressions and digital scans, selecting suitable materials, operating lab machinery, and ensuring restorations have accurate color matching and fitting. The candidate will maintain lab cleanliness, comply with infection control and safety regulations, and collaborate effectively with dentists and colleagues to fulfill both clinical and aesthetic standards. Participation in ongoing professional development is essential to stay updated with new materials, digital workflows, and industry-leading practices.
Candidate Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Dentistry and Dental Care to interpret clinical demands and patient-centered outcomes.
- Skilled in Prosthodontics and Dental Technology for fabricating and designing various restorations.
- Proven laboratory expertise including model preparation, waxing, casting, finishing, and competence with digital design and milling.
- Exceptional attention to detail with shade matching, occlusion, fit, and excellent manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Dental Technology or a related discipline; prior dental laboratory experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions, adhere to deadlines, and work effectively within a quality-focused team.
- Strong commitment to upholding health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and continuous skill development.
