About the Role

Aligned Dental is seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Revenue Cycle Manager to join our growing team located on the East Coast. This is a full-time remote position requiring candidates to reside within the Eastern Time Zone. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the entire dental revenue cycle, dental insurance processes, and dental practice management software, with specific preference for experience using Open Dental.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance collections efficiently.
  • Optimize insurance processing procedures to improve turnaround.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create, plan, organize, and enforce revenue cycle policies and workflows aimed at operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Investigate and follow up on denied or rejected insurance claims.
  • Train front office staff on necessary images, narratives, and documentation required for claim processing.
  • Accurately post insurance payments and audit patient accounts.
  • Minimize adjustments and bad debt by effective account management.
  • Handle processing of patient refunds.
  • Manage resolution of contract payment discrepancies and support collection efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison to dental offices by assisting in insurance posting, verification, EOB training, and related tasks.
  • Support external financial and insurance audits, as well as internal compliance inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in dental billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management, preferably across multiple sites.
  • Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma; advanced education in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance terminology and procedures; proficiency with Open Dental software highly desirable.
  • Motivation and commitment to recovering and resolving insurance claims.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and strong general computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of self-starting and self-motivation.
  • Capability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent team player with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at communicating effectively across all organizational levels.

Additional Information

This position is primarily remote but may require occasional travel. Candidates must reside full-time in the Eastern Time Zone to ensure alignment with operational hours.
