Role overview
A well-established Japanese medical devices multinational is expanding its Asia footprint and is hiring a Demand Planner for its Singapore operations team. This is a new position created to support regional growth across multiple markets. The company works across hospital and chronic care solutions and combines clinical knowledge, innovation, integrated care, and digital tools.
Compensation
The monthly base pay for this position is between SGD 4,500 and SGD 5,500. In addition, the package includes AWS and a bonus.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee demand and supply planning activities across APAC subsidiaries. The role focuses on building reliable forecasts and replenishment plans by analysing customer demand and factory capacity.
- Prepare supply and demand forecasts, along with ordering plans for subsidiaries across Asia-Pacific.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate with factories and freight partners for replenishment and shipping timelines.
- Apply allocation approaches to keep inventory balanced across subsidiaries.
- Prioritise production orders for selected product lines.
- Track subsidiary orders to ensure they follow forecast assumptions and inventory guidelines.
- Support tender-related operations and order fulfilment activities.
- Manage inventory health policies, including handling damaged stock, dead stock, and expired goods.
- Drive process improvements across subsidiaries and maintain clear reporting on inventory metrics and performance.
Requirements
The preferred candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of demand planning experience and a proven ability to manage high SKU volumes across regional markets, especially in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
- Strong hands-on experience in demand planning and supply planning.
- Experience working with a large number of SKUs across multiple markets.
- Advanced Excel ability, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, and Power Query.
- Practical use of Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or FMCG is advantageous, though not mandatory.
