Role overview
Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a 3.5T Delivery Driver for its Canterbury branch (CT1 3RB). Compensation and benefits

Key duties
- Operate a 3.5-tonne tail-lift van to deliver bulky plumbing and heating products, mainly within the CT postcode area.
- Make deliveries to a mix of customer types, including construction sites, social housing locations, and private customers.
- Load and unload goods safely, handling heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets, and sinks.
- Support branch warehouse activities when not on the road, including stock unloading, order picking and packing, stock counts, and general housekeeping.
- Complete vehicle safety checks as part of the role.
- May also assist customers at the trade counter when needed.
Working pattern
This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:30. Weekend work is not normally required, except during stocktake periods.
Requirements
- A valid full UK driving licence is mandatory.
- Experience with multidrop deliveries and operating a 3.5T vehicle is required.
- Warehouse experience is desirable.
- Strong communication skills are expected.
- You should be a reliable team player who is willing to help in the warehouse to keep the branch running smoothly.
