Role overview

This position is for a delivery driver in Oneonta, NY. The job involves driving your own vehicle, taking deliveries, and enjoying a flexible work setup where you can listen to your own music while on the road. Working arrangement

Part-time schedules are available, with flexibility in shift planning. Pay includes hourly wages paid weekly, plus tips and mileage reimbursement at the end of each shift.

Shift availability

The store is currently seeking drivers who can cover closing shifts and who have weekend availability, including Saturdays, Sundays, or every other weekend.

Qualifications and driving standards

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and at least two years of verifiable driving experience. A stable work history is preferred. Candidates must also be able to satisfy company screening requirements related to motor vehicle records, DOT, CSA, and/or criminal background checks. Experience transporting food or beverages is considered an advantage. The role also requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and safely drive in tight spaces and heavy traffic.

Driving history requirements

To use a vehicle for business purposes such as deliveries, candidates must meet the following age-and-history rules: an 18-year-old must show at least two years of driving history immediately before the MVR review; a 19-year-old must show at least one year of driving history immediately before the MVR review. A learner’s permit history may only count if it is officially documented by a government authority. An officially issued license is required.

Driving record standards

Applicants must also meet the company’s record criteria. In the two years before the MVR, there can be no more than two driving-related violations, such as speeding, failure to yield, failure to obey traffic signals, careless driving, or not wearing a seatbelt. In the three years before the MVR, there can be no more than three driving-related violations and no more than one at-fault accident.

Disqualifying violations

Candidates with any of the following will not be eligible to drive for the company: leaving the scene of an accident, hit and run, reckless driving, any driving offense involving drugs or alcohol, vehicular homicide or assault, unlawful racing and exhibition driving, or eluding/attempting to elude an officer.
