Role Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. This role involves maintaining order and cleanliness in the Bakery and Deli sections, stocking merchandise, and facilitating sales.

Main Duties

• Organize and maintain product displays, shelves, tables, and storage areas to ensure products are correctly positioned.
• Conduct regular stock rotation and monitor product expiration dates.
• Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled with accurate pricing and signage.
• Follow strict protocols concerning cold chain compliance, maintain calibrated thermometers, record temperatures, and handle food safely while adhering to sell-by and expiry dates.
• Take customer orders for deli products, prepare hot food items, and provide support as needed.
• Use appropriate utensils to prepare deli food orders; operate the rotisserie oven for chicken preparation; replenish prepared side dishes for display.
• Carefully prepare bakery items like bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls according to thawing and baking instructions to guarantee quality and appearance.
• Comply with proper procedures for ordering stock, managing clearance sales, applying markups or markdowns, and accurate labeling/signage.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.
