Opportunity Overview

Pursuit Aerospace produces complex fabricated and precision-machined parts for gas turbine engines. Its customers span commercial and military aviation, power generation, marine, rotary wing, and unmanned aerial vehicle applications.

The company is looking for a Deburr Technician to support the quality and precision of machined parts through grinding, polishing, and cleaning work that meets exact specifications and tolerances.

Location: Orillia, Ontario.

This is an onsite opening for an existing vacancy.

What You Will Do

  • Deburr and grind components to the required specifications using approved procedures, machines, and tooling.
  • Complete rework tasks when needed.
  • Share quality-related feedback with CNC machinists.
  • Accurately finish all part-related paperwork and documentation.
  • Record information in the required systems or logs.
  • Use gauges and measuring tools to confirm part quality.
  • Check completed work to ensure it complies with specifications.
  • Carry out additional duties related to the role as assigned.
  • Keep the work area tidy, organized, and safe to support accurate inspection, aerospace cleanliness expectations, and efficient operations.

Required Background

  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
  • At least 2 years of experience deburring precision parts.
  • Practical knowledge of inspection and gauging methods.
  • Ability to complete documentation correctly and follow standard procedures.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior work in CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality management systems.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are required.
  • Good manual dexterity is needed to handle small parts and tools.
  • Strong visual focus is necessary for detailed inspection work.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Use personal protective equipment when required.
  • Close vision is specifically needed for the role.
  • Work involves a manufacturing setting with noise, light oil exposure, and frequent use of gloves or safety glasses.
